All ages are welcome! Some sessions are designed with families and kids in mind, while others focus more on adult skills and interests — but everyone is encouraged to join in and create.

March 22, 2025 – VISUAL STORYTELLING (FAMILY Focus)

Don’t miss this one—Bert Arista, a renowned illustrator and Duncanville native, will be doing a live demo on comic book and fantasy character development! This will be a great session for kids and anyone interested in visual storytelling.

April 26, 2025 – Animal Portraits (Family Focus)

Kids and parents will have fun learning how to draw realistic or whimsical animal portraits. Choose your favorite animal and bring it to life with shading and texture techniques. Everyone will go home with a completed animal drawing.

May 24, 2025 – Figure Drawing (Adult Focus)

Learn the basics of figure drawing, including proportions, gesture, and anatomy. A clothed model will be present for practice. Participants will leave with a finished figure sketch and improved confidence in drawing human forms.

June 28, 2025 – Fantasy Character Design (Family Focus)

Unleash your creativity! Design your own fantasy character — whether it’s a dragon, a knight, or a superhero. Learn the basics of character design and leave with a fully illustrated character.

July 26, 2025 – Botanical Drawing (Adult Focus)

Explore the beauty of nature through botanical drawing. Participants will work with flowers and leaves to create detailed, lifelike sketches using pencils and colored pencils. Take home a completed botanical illustration.

August 23, 2025 – Comic Book Basics (Family Focus)

Learn the building blocks of comic book creation — from panel design to dynamic characters and action scenes. Create a short comic strip and learn how to tell a story through images.

September 27, 2025 – Perspective Drawing (Adult Focus)

Master the art of perspective! Learn one-point and two-point perspective to create depth and dimension. Participants will complete a simple architectural or street scene using these techniques.

October 25, 2025 – Harvest Character Design (Family Focus)

Embrace the spirit of autumn! Create charming harvest characters like scarecrows, friendly woodland animals, and playful pumpkins using colored pencils and markers. Everyone will take home a festive, fall-inspired character drawing.

November 22, 2025 – Portrait Drawing (Adult Focus)

Learn the foundations of portrait drawing, including facial proportions, shading, and capturing expression. Work from a photo reference and leave with a completed portrait sketch.

December 27, 2025 – Winter Wonderland Illustration (Family Focus)

Capture the magic of winter with a snowy scene featuring cozy houses, snowmen, and trees. Use colored pencils and pastels to create texture and depth. Participants will leave with a winter-themed illustration.

Each session lasts approximately one hour. No prior experience necessary — all materials are provided; But feel free to bring your own!
